The Origin Story
Three chapters. One promise: every pellet in that scoop has a postcode, a batch number, and a name behind it.

East Anglian Barley
Harvested at 14% moisture, every time.
We source exclusively from three family farms in Suffolk and Norfolk — the same flat, rich fenland that has grown feed-quality barley for two centuries. Harvested between 14–16% moisture, kiln-dried on-site, and delivered to our mill within 48 hours. No middlemen. No grain mountains. Just barley we can put a postcode to.

Cold-Pressed Formulation
Nutrients intact. No heat compromise.
Our mill runs at 42°C maximum — significantly below the temperature at which heat-labile vitamins degrade. Each batch is roller-milled to a consistent micron specification, then blended with our mineral premix in a controlled environment. Every tonne carries a batch certificate traceable to the originating field.

Discipline-Specific Science
A dressage horse is not a hunter. We feed accordingly.
Our nutritionist team — led by a BVSc-qualified equine dietitian — maps energy demand curves for three horse categories: working horses in consistent employment, sport horses with peak-load competition windows, and pasture companions on maintenance. Each formula hits a different digestible energy target, fibre-to-starch ratio, and lysine profile.
Nutritional Precision
A dressage horse is not a hunter. A veteran is not a youngster. Three formulas, each hitting a different metabolic target.

“We switched 22 horses to Gallop Sport Performance in October. By Christmas, our head groom had stopped asking me which supplement was which — the coats spoke for themselves.”

Callisto
16.3hh Hanoverian · Grand Prix Dressage
“I weigh every scoop. I log every feed. Gallop is the only brand whose stated values match what I measure in the bucket. That consistency is non-negotiable at Grand Prix level.”

Marcus Webb
Lambourn, Berkshire

Bramble
13.2hh Welsh Section C · Pony Club Eventing
“As a pony-club parent, I used to dread the ingredient panel. Gallop's sourcing map made me feel like I actually understood what I was feeding Bramble. First time ever.”

Siobhan O'Rourke

Red Letter Day

“Gallop Working Horse keeps our hunters in work from October to March without the fizz. That's the hardest thing to find in a hard feed. We've tried everything.”
